What is a digital product passport?
A Digital Product Passport, also known as a Digital Twin or Digital Product File, is a digital representation of a physical product that contains comprehensive information about its entire lifecycle. The Digital Product Passport can be used in various phases of the product life cycle, from development and production through to use, maintenance and disposal. The data is continuously updated and securely stored. In Europe, the Digital Product Passport will gradually become mandatory over the next few years.
