At ARNIO, we develop components and tools for production using Bihler technology.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>This is a particularly\u00a0material-efficient manufacturing in<\/span>\u00a0innovative punch-bend machines. In the so-called Multislide process, parts are manufactured from bar stock in a single pass\u2014thereby utilizing the available material to produce the maximum number of finished parts. We demonstrate how the stamping and bending process saves costs and time using the example of the upper bracket for grating fasteners manufactured by ARNELL: a small component produced in high volumes for a price-sensitive market. Efficient manufacturing is crucial for success in this market. We have therefore optimized the component for processing on a stamping and bending machine.<\/p>

By making design adjustments, we were able to switch from progressive die manufacturing to production using the Bihler LEANTOOL. While maintaining at least the same production speed, this allowed us to increase raw material utilization and reduce energy consumption, thereby lowering both our environmental footprint and unit production costs.<\/p>

Incidentally, this step also makes it possible to\u00a0the use of standardized raw tape configurations<\/span>\u00a0and thereby reduces the variety of items in the raw materials warehouse.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
